Rough estimate only, not a pre-approval or offer of credit. It uses 2026–27 resident tax rates plus the Medicare levy, counts 80% of other income, uses the higher of your expenses or a basic living-cost benchmark, counts 3.8% of card limits as a monthly commitment, and tests the loan at your rate plus a 3% buffer over 30 years, as lenders typically do. Every lender's rules differ, so your broker will confirm your real borrowing power.

Every dollar in an offset account is subtracted from your loan balance before interest is charged, so you pay less interest and can be loan-free sooner, while keeping your savings available.
over the life of the loan
Your repayment stays the same at $0. The offset just means more of it goes to the loan, not interest.
Estimate only. Assumes a variable principal-and-interest loan with a 100% offset, a constant rate, and that the offset money is not withdrawn. Excludes fees, such as package fees that often come with offset accounts.

Compare what you pay now with a lower rate on the same balance and time left. Switching costs are included, so you can see when the move pays for itself.
on your repayments
Estimate only. Assumes principal-and-interest repayments, monthly, with both rates staying the same for the rest of the loan. "Saved over the loan" is interest saved minus switching costs. Switching costs can include discharge, application, valuation and government fees, and any break cost on a fixed rate. Some lenders offer cashback that can offset these.

About this calculator
Add each debt with what you owe, its interest rate and what you pay each month. The calculator works out when each one would be paid off at your current repayments, then compares that with one loan at the rate and term you choose.
Consolidating can lower your repayment and give you one clear end date. A longer term can also mean paying more interest overall, so the calculator shows both sides honestly.
Making consolidation work
- Close or cut the limits on cards you pay off, so the debt doesn’t build up again.
- Choose the shortest term you can comfortably afford.
- If you can, keep paying what you pay now to be debt free sooner.
Debt consolidation calculator: common questions
Does debt consolidation save money?
It can, especially when you’re rolling high-interest credit cards into a lower-rate loan. If the new loan has a much longer term, though, you may pay more interest overall even with a lower repayment. Use the calculator to compare both.
What debts can I consolidate?
Most unsecured debts, including credit cards, store cards, buy now pay later, personal loans and some car loans. Homeowners may also be able to consolidate into a home loan, which has different costs and risks.
Will consolidating affect my credit score?
Applying for a new loan involves a credit enquiry. Over time, making regular repayments on one loan and closing the old accounts can help your credit history.
Can I consolidate with bad credit?
Sometimes. Some lenders specialise in borrowers with past credit issues, usually at a higher rate. A broker can tell you which lenders are likely to consider your application before you apply.
